Clothing store POS software
One style. Every size and colour matters.
A full rack does not always mean the right size is available. Explore SaleCue around ready-made clothing sales, product choices and the return journeys your store handles.
Follow the garment your customer actually buys.
The details behind each garment sale
01 / Start with your storeStyle, size and colour
Bring one style in two colours and three sizes. Ask to see how each sellable combination is identified, priced and counted. Check whether a search for the style shows the specific variant the customer needs.
Labels and product selection
If your team uses barcode labels, bring a label from the sample range and your intended scanner model. Ask to follow the size and colour from product selection to the receipt.
Returns and price changes
Include a size return and a discounted item. Review the original price, refund amount and stock decision, then check who is allowed to approve changes.
A practical POS conversation
Follow one style through the shop
Use a small example from your store to see which records and steps matter at each point.
Receive a size run
Prepare a delivery with different quantities for each size and colour. Review the resulting stock for every combination. Include one missing unit so the receiving process can be checked against the delivery.
Sell the exact variant
Select a medium in one colour, then check the receipt and stock record. Verify that the quantity change applies to that variant and does not hide stock differences across the full style.
Work through a size exchange
Return the original size and choose a different size. Ask whether the demonstrated process uses a return plus a new sale or a dedicated exchange action. Review any price difference, payment record and both stock quantities.
Test a markdown
Apply a sample discount and inspect the selling price on the receipt. Ask how the original transaction remains traceable and which staff permissions control discounts and refunds.
Review what is left
Compare stock quantities across the sample style. Ask to inspect the available report detail for size and colour rather than assuming a style-level total explains which combinations need attention.
Ready-made retail and made-to-measure work
02 / Go into the detailFor ready-made sales
This walkthrough is for selling stocked garments. Start with product identification, variant quantities, payments and returns.
For made-to-measure work
Measurements, stitching jobs, fittings, deposits and promised delivery dates need a separate product assessment. Tell us about those requirements before selecting a system.
Before your demo
Bring a small range with real variety
Keep the sample manageable. Use fictional customer details and tell us about any equipment or specialist tasks that are essential to your store.
Bring one complete example
Use one style with six size/colour combinations, a delivery list, a regular sale, a discounted sale and a return. Add a second location only if you need to evaluate stock transfers between stores.
Explore the supporting detail
Review the catalog and barcode walkthrough, stock management checks and billing and returns workflow with that same sample.
A few useful answers
Before you choose.
Your store’s needs should shape the conversation. Start with these common questions.
What should I bring for size and colour choices?
Choose one style with several size/colour combinations and different quantities. Ask to follow each combination through product selection, a sale, a receipt and the stock record.
How should I review a size exchange?
Bring a return and a replacement-size example. Discuss the original receipt, any price difference and how both stock quantities are handled. Include your store’s own return policy in the conversation.
Can we discuss reports for individual sizes?
Tell us which questions you want a report to answer. For example, you may need to see which sizes sold and which remain. Ask to review that level of detail using your sample transactions.
Is ready-made clothing the same as tailoring?
No. This page is for selling stocked garments. Measurements, stitching jobs, fittings and promised delivery dates are separate requirements. Tell us about made-to-measure work before choosing a system.
